National YDF Community Diabetes SpR Course

In response to a request from the joint socities (ABCD, DUK, SfE) the YDF are setting up a national community diabetes course which will address unmet training needs identified by the YDF (DiabetesUK)/ ABCD SpR survery (Kar et al 2008) .

MRCP (D&E): SpRs and StRs are eligible

SpRs who attended the Clinical Update meeting have raised a concern with the the young diabetologists forum. Apparently it was announced at the meeting that old style SpRs will not be eligible for the MRCP diabetes and endocrinology if they pass the KBA (ie, they will only receieve a certificate).

NSF 5 year report: YDF Course Praised

As the report on 5 years of NSF is published, the ABCD-King's Fund-YDF Management course has been praised by Rowan Hilson for "helping to ensure we have leadership capacity in the future".
