The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists is pleased to announce their ninth dedicated meeting for Specialist Registrars. This will again consist of “Meet the Expert” sessions where topical areas in diabetes and endocrinology can be discussed in a small group format.

Diabetes and endocrine disorders often affect multiple different organ systems and, consequently, diabetologists and endocrinologists enjoy close working relationships with clinicians in many diverse specialties. This year's RCPE diabetes symposium (October 7th) isbased around these different specialists. This symposium will therefore be of interest to SpRs and StrR of all seniority.

The goal of the Excellence in Diabetes programme for Specialist Registrars is to support training and research that will positively contribute to the future delivery of effective and forward-looking diabetes services. The meeting in Birmingham (15-16th July) features an SpR research award competition along with lectures and workshops on a range of topics.
