The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists is pleased to announce their ninth dedicated meeting for Specialist Registrars. This will again consist of “Meet the Expert” sessions where topical areas in diabetes and endocrinology can be discussed in a small group format.
In addition, research and case presentations are invited and the best four will be selected for presentation. The ABCD SpR Training Award will be given to the best of these presentations. This award of £1000 will go towards attendance at an international meeting. The meeting will take place on the evening of 19th and until 1.00pm on 20th November, following the ABCD Autumn Meeting (to which SpR’s are invited). The number of delegates is limited to 25 and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The meeting is only open to members of ABCD, and membership applications will be accepted with registration forms. Delegates can choose three of the following “Meet the Expert” sessions:The Management of Hypogonadism in the Diabetic Patient - Dhatariya Ketan- Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital The use of GLP-1 agonists. What have we learnt so far? Dr Bob Ryder- Birmingham City Hospital NHS Trust Insulin Therapy- Update. Prof E Gale- Southmead Hospital & University of Bristol Pitfalls in Pituitary practice- James Ahlquist, Southend University Foundation Trust Hospital.
